About Us

Mission Statement

The Slippers-N-Sliders mission is to identify, develop, and support youth interested in participating in winter sports. Our goal is to expose those youth to activities that they would not normally have immediate access to.

Organizational Overview

Slippers-N-Sliders Ski Club, Inc. is a volunteer organization that was originally chartered in 1972 to promote the sport of skiing in the Denver metro area. The Slippers-N-Sliders Ski Club is one of the member clubs of the National Brotherhood of Skiers, Inc. (NBS), which consists of fifty-plus clubs throughout the United States. The NBS was incorporated in 1975 and is organized by geographical regions – Eastern, Midwest, Rocky Mountain, and Western. Slippers-N-Sliders is one of six (6) clubs that make up the Rocky Mountain Region.

The Ski For Kids

The Ski For Kids 501 (c)(3) program is an introductory program where eligible children between the ages of 6 and 12 learn the basics of skiing. The children receive ski lessons, ski equipment, lunch, transportation to and from the slopes, and ski clothing at no cost to their parents.

The Youth Ski & Snowboard

The Youth Ski & Snowboard program: The emphasis of the youth programs is to identify and develop youth skiers and snowboarders as racers. Youth of club members with a Family Membership are automatically members of Slippers-N-Sliders and may be eligible to participate in the Youth Ski & Snowboard program.

The National Brotherhood of Skiers is excited to share housing options, registration, lift ticket, rental, ski school and Nordic information for the 2015 Ski Summit in Snowmass, CO. The summit will take place February 21- 28, 2015.
