Slippers-N-Sliders Ski Club Celebrating 50 Years as Denver's Premier African American Non-Profit Ski Club

About Us...

Beginning in June 1972, we are a non profit and chartered organization, who mission and desire is to promote skiing among minority persons in the Denver metropolitan and surounding areas. We are one of the founding member clubs of the National Brotherhood of Skiers, Inc. (NBS).

In 1974 we created our Ski For Kids, Inc. program to teach and spread the joy of sking to inner city youth between the ages of 7-11. This program is for families who cannot afford the expenses of skiing for thier children. To date more than 2000 children who might not have had the opportunity to ski have been introduced to this exhilarating sport!

The Slippers-n-Sliders have year round activities, hiking, biking, golfing, rafting, picnining, camping and some awesome parties. We have various fundrising events to support our Ski for Kids program and to help contribute to the NBS US Olympics Team Youth Training Program.

We are extremely proud to be celebrating 50 years of achievements and accomplishments in our dedication and commitment to our mission.
